Annette Kealy and John Black are your quickest parkrunners in Ireland this weekend (June 15th).

Second fastest last week, Annette Kealy moved to top spot this week running 15 seconds faster for 18:04. V50 athlete Kealy achieved an age graded score of 93.91% as she led the field to finish first overall at Malahide. The prolific parkrunner Kealy has a 10km PB of 34:37 and 5,000m best of 16:29 both set back in 2003.

The top three all ran under 19 minutes this week with Harriette Ann-Marie Robinson of Dundrum South Dublin AC running 18:51 to claim second spot. Eimear O’Brien rounded off the top three with 18:56 at Sligo. Another notable performance in the women’s top 10 was under 15 Lauren Molloy running a PB of 19:31 at Omagh to finish this week’s 6th fastest runner.

John Black was the quickest male this week with a sub 16 minute clocking at Belfast Victoria. North Belfast Harrier Black ran his parkrun PB with 15:57 to finish 65 seconds clear of second place runner Neill Weir, who was this week’s 10th fastest runner. Black ran 15:16 at this years Armagh 5km and ran a half marathon PB of 71:01 to finish third at Larne Half in March. Raheny Shamrock AC

The second fastest male runner was Ian Christopher Conroy of Raheny Shamrock AC with 16:02 at St Anne’s. A former winner of Ireland’s Mountain Runner of the Year prize, Conroy’s run saw off a strong challenge from this week’s fourth fastest runner Stephen Lawlor (16:17). Eskander Osman ran 16:03 at Ormeau to finish as the third fastest runner on this week’s list.
