Fantastic running saw four men running sub 15 minutes across UK parkruns this weekend. Here are the top times from Saturday (March 24).

Cardiff Met students Charlie Joslin-Allen and Jake Smith definitely weren’t hanging around, with the pair running parkrun bests 14:43 and 14:47 in the Welsh capital.

Tonebridge’s Joslin-Allen and Exeter’s Smith both competed at the recent Inter-Counties Cross Country Champs finishing 24th and 93rd respectively.

The sub 15-minute runs were not exclusive to Cardiff, with British international Alex Teuten and 2:16 marathoner Paul Martelletti running 14:50 and 14:55 at the Southsea and Victoria Dock parkruns.

Danielle Nimmock was top of the women’s list this week with a superb 16:46 at the Gorleston Cliffs parkrun. It was the City of Norwich runner’s 18th parkrun and follows a half marathon personal best of  74:13 the Big Half earlier this month.

Laura Hesketh also dipped under 17-minutes with a great run at the Stretford parkrun. The Clayton-le-moors runner ran 16:54 for a new best in her 48th parkrun.

Also making it into this week’s top 10 was the brother and sister team of Will and Chloe Richardson. The Birchfield Harriers duo ran 15:12 and 17:30 at the Cannon Hill parkrun in Birmingham.

Something was in the water on Saturday with the top 10 men all running 15:30 or quicker. Compared to previous weeks, the fastest time would just have scrapped into this week’s list.
