The ethos of parkrun is not about fast times, however, that doesn’t stop plenty of runners chasing PB’s every week. Here are the top 10 men and women from Saturday’s (January 27 ) UK parkruns.

It was a tie for the quickest parkrunner this weekend, with Fergus Roberts and Ross Skelton both clocking 15:11 in Strathclyde, Glasgow and Preston Park, Brighton respectively.

Triathlete Roberts improved his parkrun best by four seconds and the impressive Richmond & Zetland Harrier also has a road 5k PB of 14:45.

Skelton time was outside his 14:53 best set last year when he joined the sub 15-minute parkrun club. Also in 2017, the Brighton Phoenix runner finished 11th at the Great South Run in Portsmouth.

Faye Fullerton was the fastest female parkrunner on Saturday, clocking 17:19 at the Valentines parkrun in East London. It was 19 seconds outside the Havering runner’s own course record.

Fullerton has made a great start to 2018, with a second place finish at the Telford 10k, and representing England, finished 19th at the Cross Internacional de Itálica in Seville.

Bryony Haines kept Birmingham’s Cannon Hill parkrun on the list after Toby Cooke clocked the fastest last week. The young Birchfield Harriers runner posted an impressive 17:34 to record the second fastest female time of the week.
