Remember folks parkrun isn’t a race – but it’s still great to celebrate fast running wherever it happens. Here are the top times from UK parkruns on Saturday (February 10).

Peterborough parkrun saw the fastest time in the UK this week, with Edgars Sumskis running a parkrun best of 15:10.

The Latvian native has been a regular parkrunner since December last year. In his athletics life Sumskis has spent most of the time on the track at 1500m, but in 2017 competed in the steeplechase.

Aaron Kettlewell recorded the second quickest time with 15:37 at the York parkrun. It was the teenager’s 15th parkrun and his first time running in York.

Last month the Holmfirth Harrier finished 19th in the U20 race at the Northern Cross Country Championships.

Charlotte Arter led a host of familiar names in the women’s fastest times on Saturday.

Arter, who finished 18th at the European Cross Country Trials in Liverpool last November, posted a super quick parkrun best of 16:10 in Cardiff.

Louise Damen, who last represented Britain at the Great Edinburgh XCountry in January, ran 17:25 at the Poole parkrun. Damen who is a former English cross country champion was taking part in her third parkrun.

Elsewhere and just outside the 10 fastest was World Mountain Running bronze medalist Sarah Tunstall.

Thankfully everyone seemed to remember their barcodes this week with no unknown runners missing out on the lists.

Fast Running doesn’t want to only celebrate the ‘top’ times – so if you ran a big PB this weekend let us know at team@fastrunning.com.
