Louise Small and Simon Nott ran the fastest parkrun times in the UK this weekend (27th May).

Our weekly parkrun top ten is sponsored by 1001 Running Tips by our editor Robbie Britton. Want to run faster at parkrun in 2023 or your next marathon then order your copy today.(PBs not guaranteed, but very likely).

Just one week on from an excellent 33:34.71 at the Highgate Harriers Night of the 10000m PB’s Louise Small is back in action already. At Exmouth parkrun the AFD athlete clocked 16:17 and it was a clear top of the table performance for Hoka athlete.

Simon Nott of Calne RC has been a common name in this list in the past and he’s back with a bang straight to the top of the league with 15:07 at Lydiard parkrun. 2023 has already been a mightily successful year with a 2:24 marathon PB at ABP Newport Wales Marathon in April.

The best of the rest?

Another sub 17 minute performance came from Rebecca Murray at Bedford parkrun. 16:49 is a 10 second PB for the Bedford & County AC runner, who was also at the Highgate Harriers Night of the 10000m PB’s  and went a little bit quicker than Small with 32:36.32, so it was a turnaround for the results at parkrun this week.

At Alexandra parkrun in Moss Side it was Tom Lancashire who was first home in 15:10. It’s his second parkrun of the year and already 46 seconds quicker than the one in April. He’s on a win streak like his club Manchester United, although has gone one better in the table this weekend.

Daisy Davies (17:08) and Milan Campion (15:14) were third fastest athletes at Blandford and Beeston parkrun respectively. We think Davies has run a big parkrun PB of 24 seconds after already setting the last one in March this year too. Campion broke 15 minutes at parkrun two months ago and has ran strongly over XC, track and road in 2023.

The fastest event?

Both Dulwich and Watermead Country Park feature twice and if I missed another it’s because my dinner is ready and I’m real hungry after racing a 38k mountain race today. Well done to all who got out and ran parkrun, whatever time you ran.
