With an eye on the Ipswich Twilight 5k next week, the fastest man for the last fortnight Adam Hickey took the week off. Here are the quickest times on Saturday (May 5).

Simon Nott ran a quick 15:22 in Chippenham to record the fastest time at parkruns across the UK this week. It was the Calne RC runner’s 13th time at the event and equalled his parkrun best. Last month Nott was the winner of the Corsham St George’s 10K.

Stephanie Davis was the fastest woman running 16:52 at the Victoria parkrun in Glasgow. The Clapham Chasers athlete was just two seconds off her 5k road PB and will surely be back at parkrun, but perhaps back closer to the Fulham Palace event where she ran her first Saturday morning 5k last weekend.

Luton’s Ian Kimpton posted 15:33 at the Bakewell parkrun to take the number two spot in the men’s top 10.

Springfield Striders Elizabeth Davies at Chelmsford Central and Wallsend Harriers’ Danielle Hodgkinson at the Rising Sun event in Benton both ran 17:32 to record the second fastest women’s time.

There was one unknown male runner that would have ranked at number two if he had of remembered his barcode. The mystery runner ran 15:23 in Southampton.

Elsewhere, Rebecca Murray, who made her marathon debut in London two weeks ago, got the legs going again with 17:40 run at the Luton Wardown parkrun.

Cardiff parkrun had the highest amount of runners among the top 10s with three, while Clapham Chasers and Crawley AC were the most represented clubs with two each.
