This weekend saw parkruns in Northern Ireland represented more among the men, while it was an even split in the women’s top 10. Here are the fastest times on Saturday (April 14).

Glen Taylor ran 16:28 at the Belfast Victoria parkrun to record the quickest time across the island of Ireland. The Ballydrain Harrier was taking part in his fourth parkrun and a first run at Belfast Victoria.

At number two was former Irish Olympic race walker and now an accomplished runner, Colin Griffin, who ran 16:36 at St Anne’s parkrun in Dublin.

Catherina Mullen ran 18:14 in Cootehill to take the top spot among the women this week. It was a parkrun best for the Shercock AC runner in her fourth time at the event.

Derry City parkrun saw the second fastest time with Sarah Lindsay of North Down AC running 18:36.

The men’s top 10 this week turned into a top 11 with Josh O’sullivan-Hourihan and Brendan Guiney both running 17:03 at the Waterstown parkrun in Dublin and the Falls parkrun in Belfast respectively.

Marlay parkrun in Dublin also had one unknown male runner who ran 16:38.
