Northern Ireland parkruns dominate the men’s top 10, while it’s almost an even split in the women’s list. Here are the fastest times on Saturday (June 23).

Scottish parkrun tourist Craig Ruddy ran the quickest men’s time across the island of Ireland this week. The Inverclyde AC runner ran 15:44 at the Citypark event in Craigavon.

Ruddy was the winner of the Helensburgh 10k in May and last year ran a marathon personal best 2:22:09 in Berlin.

The top women’s spot on Saturday went to V50 athlete Annette Kealy who ran 18:13 at the Malahide event in Dublin. The Raheny Shamrock runner was running in her 64th parkrun.

Last month Kealy was the star of the Irish team at the European Masters Road Championships in Alicante, Spain, when she won the W50 10km in 38:04.

Samuel Wensink was the second fastest man running 16:13 in Killarney. It was Wensink’s first time at parkrun, and likewise, the women’s second quickest this week was a parkrun first timer, with Giulia Collico running 18:57 at the Marlay event in Dublin.

Belfast Victoria was the most represented parkrun among the top 10 with three runners; Lindsay Gordon, Kent Swann and Jamie Smyth.
