Not everyone travelled across the Irish sea for the London Marathon. Here are the fastest times at Irish parkruns on Saturday (April 21).

Daniel Stauber ran 16:32 at the Malahide parkrun in Dublin to record the quickest time across the island of Ireland. It was Stauber second run in Malahide so the Kent AC runner is by no means a parkrun tourist. Maybe a Dublin club should look into signing him up?

The quickest woman this week was teenager Grace Carson who posted a personal best at the Musa Cookstown parkrun. Earlier this year, Mid Ulster AC’s Carson won the U19 1500m title at the NI & Ulster Indoor Championships.

Christopher Moren posted the second fastest men’s time on Saturday, running 16:43 at the Belfast Victoria parkrun. It’s safe to say the Willowfield Harrier is a massive fan of the weekly 5k event, it was his 276 parkrun.

Fiona Stack takes the number two spot in the women’s top 10 clocking 18:51 at St Anne’s in Dublin. The Raheny Shamrock runner was taking part in her 12th parkrun.

With five in total, Marlay parkrun in Dublin had the most top 10 times this week.
