Nathan Harrison and Annette Kealy are your fastest athletes at Irish parkruns this weekend (October 5th).

Irish international runner Annette Kealy topped the charts this week running 17:48 at Malahide parkrun, just three seconds outside her parkrun PB and achieving an incredible age grading of 95.32%! This was Kealy’s best parkrun time since 2017 and the 34:37 10km athlete looks to be set for an excellent winter!

Nathan Harrison of Sale Harriers was this week’s fastest man with 15:50 at Belfast Victoria. Harrison has had a good 2019 with PBs at the Alderley Edge Bypass 10K (31:59), Vale of York Half Marathon where 69:40 saw him grab 2nd place and running 2:32:23 at Manchester Marathon.

9:51 3000m athlete Niamh Kearney was second fastest this week with 18:03. Kearney who has a mile PB of 4:54.47 won the Leinster senior 1500m title this year. St Anne’s also saw the second fastest male athlete this week with Rory O’Connor taking over a minute off his previous parkrun best in clocking 15:51. The winner of the 2019 Adare 10k has had an excellent year which also saw him finishing 2nd at the Mallow 10 mile race in 51:28.

Sarah Baryga is a frequent visitor to the top 10 and this week grabbed 3rd spot when running 18:52 at Marlay. The Sli Cualann A.C. athlete was a recent third place finisher at the Dublin Half Marathon where she ran 83:58. Waterford Man Noel Murphy ran 16:04 to finish third man this week. Murphy was 6th at the recent Waterford Greenway Half-Marathon in September and his time was enough to set a new course record on the recently established Waterford Nature course.
