Tony McCambridge and Annette Kealy ran the fastest parkrun times in the UK this weekend (2nd November).

It was a fight to top the rankings this weekend with only one second separating Tony McCambridge and Adam Ferris at Belfast Waterworks parkrun. McCambridge ran 15:50, whilst Ferris ran 15:51 to put themselves clear at the top as the only two to break 16 minutes this week.

Annette Kealy of Raheny Shamrock AC was the quickest female park runner in Ireland this weekend. Kealy ran 17:51 at Malahide parkrun and with Kealy in the 50-54 age category this run comes with a 95.05% age rankings. Wowzers.

Conor Curran ran 16:06 at Belfast Victoria parkrun to feature in the Irish rankings this weekend. The North Belfast Harrier is a 15:33 5k man, but that was back in 2015 so it’s good to see the V40 running some excellent times at parkrun recently.

Fresh from setting a world record for combined father/son marathon with his son last week (4:59:22 with the father running 2:27:52), Tommy Hughes ran 16:18 at MUSA Cookstown parkrun. The 59 year old Olympian continues to amaze with consistent and regular world class performances for his age group. This parkrun scored 97.55% for age grading.

Meghan Ryan, who has a parkrun best of 17:25, ran 18:17 in Marlay park in Dublin this weekend to finish second in the week’s rankings. Ryan was only 12 seconds behind first finisher, Patrick Ryan, on this windy Saturday morning.

Sorcha Loughnane of Sanctuary Runners ran 18:57 at Poppintree, off the back of a 2:55 PB at Dublin marathon the weekend before. We’re sure there’s a few in this list who were in Dublin last weekend so let us know if we can update the article.

There were some excellent young performances too with Kirsti and Lucy Foster, both in the 11-14 age category and of Willowfield Harriers, running 18:42 and 19:24 respectively at Belfast Victoria parkrun.

The women of Belfast Victoria gave the event the title of quickest for the weekend with four of our top ten women featuring at the event.
