Robert Murphy takes the men’s honours as Kate Cronin tops the women’s list. Here are the fastest Irish parkrun times on Saturday (November 3).

Robert Murphy ran 15:55 at the Bushy parkrun in Dublin to record the fastest time across the island of Ireland this weekend. It was the Rathfarnham runner’s second time at parkrun and comes after his superb 2:25:23 at the Berlin Marathon in September.

A St Malachy’s AC takeover at the Waterworks parkrun in Belfast ensured four youngsters claimed four of the top five spots in this week’s men’s top 10.

Conall McClean led the way running 16:11 on his 126th visit to the Saturday morning 5k.

Kate Cronin ran 18:28 at the Malahide event in Dublin to claim the women’s number one spot. The Raheny Shamrock runner, who is well known for her exploits on the mountains, was taking part in her seventh parkrun.

A 19:09 run by Karen Alexander also ensured the Malahide parkrun bagged the women’s number two spot.

It was no surprise that the runs by the St Malachy’s teenage quartet saw the Waterworks parkrun in Belfast the most represented event in the top 10.
