A teenager tops the men’s list as Irish great Catherina Mckiernan returns to parkrun to take the women’s honours. Here are the fastest times on Saturday (July 7).

Westport AC teenager Ethan Lloyd claimed the men’s number one spot across the island of Ireland after a 15:38 run at his hometown event. It was a new best for the young athlete on his 36th outing at parkrun.

Catherina McKiernan was the fastest woman this week with a 17:24 run at the Malahide event. The Irish marathon record holder and multiple time World cross country medalist, who won the Castleknock 5km last month, was running at her 18th visit to parkrun.

Malahide had the top two women this week with V50 Raheny Shamrock runner Annette Kealy running 18:15.

Martin Cox took the men’s number two spot with a parkrun best in Omagh. The Carmen Runners’ athlete recorded a time of 15:48 on his 22nd outing at the Saturday morning 5k.

There were two men without barcodes this weekend who miss out on the top 10, a nippy 15:30 run at the Waterworks in Belfast, while a time of 16:24 was recorded in Naas.

Malahide and St Anne’s parkruns in Dublin had the most runners among the top 10 this week with three each.
