Jonny Hay takes the men’s honours as Georgia Hayes tops the women’s list. Here are the fastest UK parkrun times on Saturday (December 8).

Jonny Hay ran 14:33 at the Bushy parkrun to record the men’s fastest time across the UK on Saturday. It was a parkrun best for the Aldershot, Farnham & District athlete who was running at the Bushy event for the first time.

Hay, who finished 16th at the Liverpool Cross Challenge last month, ran a 5k road personal best 14:12 at the beginning of the year in Armagh.

Georgia Hayes ran 17:43 at the Newbury parkrun to claim the women’s quickest honours this week. The Reading AC youngster was running in her 37th Saturday morning event and last month ran 17:28 on the same course.

Tom Horton took the men’s number two spot after running a parkrun best 15:28 at the Rother Valley event. Just last week Horton ran a 10k PB of 32:01 at the Percy Pud 10k in Sheffield.

Rebecca Murray was the second quickest woman on Saturday after running 18:08 at the Luton Wardown event. The Bedford & County AC, who ran  2:39:37 on her marathon debut in London this year, was taking part in her 13th parkrun.

Three unknown runners missed out on the men’s top 10 after runs of 15:47, 15:50 and 15:53 at the Warrington, Black Park and Hove Promenade parkruns respectively.

Bushy parkrun was the most represented event in the top 10 with three runners.
