Seyfu Jamaal and Beatrice Wood are your fastest athletes at UK parkruns this weekend (August 31st).

London Heathside’s Seyfu Jamaal finally got the top spot this week after finishing high up in our rankings on multiple weeks. The quicker parkrun athlete ran 15:29 at North London’s Finsbury park and had his club mate Tom Aldred not far behind in 15:43, who ranked ninth.

Young starlet Bea Wood was the only female to break 17 minutes this week with an excellent run at Salisbury parkrun. The City of Salisbury athlete ran 16:46, a new parkrun best, to continue a fine season which has already seen a new 1500m best of 4:25.86 in June.

There was an unknown athlete at Exeter Riverside who ran 15:03 today, but if you forget your barcode then you’re not getting into our rankings. Everyone knows the rules.

Alongside Bea Wood at Salisbury was Ben Brewster, who ran 15:31. The Southampton AC policeman has a 14:56.12 5000m PB from the MK 5000m PB Special this July and has raced extensively over the summer with great reward.

Midlands XC Champ Kate Holt was the second fastest lady with a 17:12 effort at Hanley parkrun, which is nearby home for the City of Stoke AC runner. Holt followed an excellent XC season with a strong summer of track, but will likely be looking forward to the return of all the mud.

Four runners sneaked into ninth spot in the women’s rankings with a time of 18:10. Scout Adkin, Louise Rudd, Emily Wicks and Ruby Lily Orchard,  could you please work on your dip for the line or sprint finish so we have a little less work next week… Excellent running by all.
