Harvey Dixon takes the men’s honours in the UK as Sophie Coldwell tops this week’s women’s parkrun rankings.

Harvey Dixon ran 14:58 at the Bushy parkrun to record the fastest men’s time across the UK on Saturday (February 23).

It was a new best for Gibraltar’s Commonwealth Games athlete who was running at parkrun for the fourth time.

At the start of the year, Dixon ran a 3000m indoor best of 8:00.87 in Boston and most recently clocked 3:51.56 over 1500m at the Lee Valley Middle Distance Open.

Sophie Coldwell topped the women’s top 10 on Saturday after a 16:57 run at the Long Eaton parkrun.

The GB international triathlete, who was running at parkrun for the first time, competed for England at last year’s Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Jamie Arnold took the men’s number two spot after a 15:24 run at the Isabel Trail parkrun. The City of Stoke runner was running at the event for the first time and it was his 11th parkrun in total.

Hannah Irwin, who is sharing her journey this year on Fast Running, ran a parkrun best 16:59 at the Bushy event to record the second quickest women’s time.

It was the Guildford & Godalming runner’s first time at the event and 15th parkrun in total.

There were two men without barcodes who missed out on the top 10 after 15:15 and 15:26 runs at the Rother Valley and Clapham Common events.

With two runners each, Bushy, Belfast Victoria and Long Eaton were the most represented events across the men’s and women’s top 10.
