The impressive City of Salisbury teenager stole the show at parkrun this week. Here are the quickest times on Saturday (May 26).

Bea Wood ran 16:56 at the Salisbury event on Saturday to become the first ever under-15 and under-17 girl to dip under 17 minutes at parkrun.

The 14 year-old was quicker than all of the women this week at parkruns in the UK and it is the eighth fastest women’s time in 2018.

City of Salisbury’s Wood ran 17:21 in September which was the previous fastest time in the under-15 age category. The youngster won the junior girls’ crown at the English School Cross Country Championships in March and is certainly an exciting prospect for the future.

Sean Hogan takes the top spot in the men’s top 10 this week with a 15:18 run at the Poole parkrun. It’s a parkrun and 5k best for the Poole Runners athlete who clocked a marathon PB of 2:28:07 in London last month.

Unfortunately, two unknown runners, who ran 14:43 in Stretford and 15:12 in Jersey, miss out on the top two spots in the men’s list this week.

Poole and Long Eaton were the most represented parkruns in the top 10s with two runners each.
